Csir net Mathematics Reference Books.

CSIR-UGC NET is a competitive exam conducted by Human Resource Development group (HRDG) twice in a year in the month of June&December. This exam is mainly conducted for finding eligible person for Lectureship in India and for finding young scientists in India through a fellowship JRF . Each JRF qualified candidate is awarded a fellowship of Rupees 25000 for persuading research in various institutions in India.

CSIR is conducting exams in 6 disciplines mainly. They are Mathematical Sciences,Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences , Life Sciences , Earth Sciences and Engineering Sciences.
Out of which I am Introducing Reference books for Mathematics which helps to crack CSIR-NET. The examination turn to be objective type after June 2011 and after that it has turned to be very difficult to crack CSIR-NET in Mathematics . I think main problem is with books we refer. I am sure if you follow the books below you may crack 90% of the questions in the examination.
In Mathematics there are three parts in Examination Part A, Part B and Part C with total 200 marks .

Syllabus: Mathematical Science

PART A

This Part have 20 questions out of which you can answer up-to 15 questions and each carries 2 marks and with 0.5 negative marks for wrong answers. Questions are in multiple choice format with only one correct answer.

Books:
  • CSIR-NET General Aptitude - A New Outlook by Christy Varghese
  • Upkar's CSIR-UGC Net/JRF Mathematical Sciences by Dr A.Kumar

PART B & PART C

These two parts have common syllabus, they only differs in the pattern of questions. They are given in four units , where UNIT -IV is meant for Statistics students and Mathematics students can answer from rest of the three units.
Part B have 40 questions you can answer up-to 25 questions each of which carries 3 marks and with 0.75 negative marks for wrong answers.Questions are in MCQ format with only one correct answer.

Part C have 60 questions you can answer up-to 20 questions each of which carries 4.75 marks. There is no negative marking in this section.Questions are in MCQ format with one or more correct options.

Credit is provided for answering of all correct options only.
